What is a pelvic floor muscle assessment?
A check of how your pelvic floor muscles contract, relax and coordinate. It is explained first, done only with your consent, and can stop at any time.
Is there an alternative to an internal examination?
Yes: external palpation, biofeedback or real-time ultrasound, depending on your situation.
How many sessions will I need?
You will get an estimate at the end of your first session, once we know your goals.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes and any recent medical reports or imaging.
Can I bring a chaperone or my baby?
Yes to both. Babies are welcome at postnatal sessions.
Can I come during my period?
Yes. Tell us when you arrive and we will adapt the session if needed.
When can I come after birth or surgery?
